Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie

Hey everybody! Here we are again on Wednesday. Whatever Wednesday as we called it last time. Again, such a busy week we have had. We had so many people here at Patti’s over the weekend. Some just visiting and some celebrating the Kentucky Derby. Wearing their derby hats and having so much fun.

We had a special in the Ice Cream Shop. It was The Derby Pie Fridge. It had a small piece of Derby Pie on the side and was a hit to say the least. That got me to thinking this morning about Miss Patti’s Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie. Some people have referred to it as the derby pie, but to us it is Miss Patti’s Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie.

I of course went to Miss Patti’s Cookbook to get the recipe to share with you today. Still in the Derby Spirit and always loving to share Miss Patti’s recipes. And let’s face it folks, chocolate chip pecan pie is just amazing. If you have had it you know. And if not, then you need to try it.

You will need, 1 cup sugar, ½ cup all purpose flour, ½ cup melted butter, 2 eggs, slightly beaten, 6oz package of chocolate chips, 1 cup chopped pecans, 1 tsp vanilla and 1- 9 inch, unbaked pie shell.

Mix together sugar and flour. Add melted butter and blend well. Stir in eggs, chips, nuts and vanilla. Pour mixture into pie shell. Bake in a preheated 325 degree oven for one hour or until golden brown. Pie will wiggle when done, it sets as it cools.

There you have it folks. Miss Patti’s Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie.

It will certainly be a favorite at your next gathering, or for the family’s dessert.

Until Next Time,

Bev

This is a very useful article. I’ve been researching this topic for a while, and your explanation really helps. I’ve also had a chance to try Soju88 and it seems quite reliable.

As someone who loves trying new desserts, this recipe sounds like a perfect mix of rich chocolate and classic pecan pie—definitely something I’d bring to a gathering. It kind of reminds me of FNF game, where the Boyfriend mixes rhythm and challenge to win over the Girlfriend—here it’s all about combining the right ingredients to win everyone over.
